Château Rieussec Sauternes 2015

Château Rieussec Sauternes is a celebrated dessert wine from one of Bordeaux's most renowned sweet wine appellations.

Château Rieussec is a Premier Cru Classé estate perched on a rise overlooking Château d'Yquem, and has been owned by Domaines Barons de Rothschild, the family behind Château Lafite Rothschild, since the 1980s. The vineyard's blend of Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle is picked by hand across successive passes as botrytis cinerea, or noble rot, develops unevenly across the fruit, concentrating sugar and flavour while retaining the acidity needed for balance.

It is a luscious, honeyed style of white wine, well suited to blue cheese, fruit tarts or foie gras.
