Cooter & Cooter Riesling 2025

Cooter & Cooter Riesling is a dry Watervale Riesling from the Clare Valley, Australia's most celebrated home of the grape.

Cooter & Cooter is the label of James and Kate Cooter, a husband and wife team working in South Australia. They farm and source fruit from McLaren Vale and the Clare Valley, with their own vineyards certified organic and biodynamic, and make wines with minimal intervention. Watervale lies in the southern Clare Valley, where red loam over limestone and cool nights at altitude give Riesling of fine acidity and lime-driven precision. The style here is classic: fermented dry in stainless steel to keep it pure and taut, then bottled young and sealed under screwcap, which also allows it to age gracefully for many years.

A crisp, light-bodied dry Riesling that suits oysters, Thai and Vietnamese dishes and grilled fish; serve chilled at around 8 to 10 degrees.
