Dal Zotto Nebbiolo 2024

Dal Zotto Nebbiolo is a King Valley red made from Piedmont's most demanding variety.

Nebbiolo ripens late, holds firm tannin and high acidity, and is notoriously site-sensitive, which makes it a difficult proposition outside Piedmont. The King Valley's altitude and long autumn give it a chance, and the Dal Zotto family, who came from northern Italy and planted here in 1987, have persisted with it. The wine is fermented on skins for an extended period and matured in large oak.

Serve at 17 degrees with braised beef, mushroom risotto or hard cheese. It develops over a decade.
