Dog Point Vineyard Pinot Noir 2016

Dog Point Pinot Noir comes from the estate's certified organic vineyards in the Southern Valleys.

The Southern Valleys sit on heavier clay than the free-draining gravels of the Wairau, which gives Pinot Noir more structure and darker fruit. Dog Point works land planted in 1979, farms it organically and keeps yields low. The wine is fermented with a portion of whole bunches and wild yeast, then matured in French oak with little new wood.

Serve at 15 degrees with duck, venison or mushroom dishes. It develops over eight years.
