Domaine Christophe Billon Côte-Rôtie 'Côte Rozier' is a Syrah-based red from one of the Northern Rhône's most storied appellations, grown on the steep terraced slopes above the village of Ampuis.

The Côte-Rôtie appellation takes its name from the 'roasted slope' that plunges dramatically toward the Rhône River, its granite and schist terraces divided into the ferrous Côte Brune and the paler, sandier Côte Blonde. Domaine Christophe Billon is a small family estate based in Ampuis, where Christophe and Maryline Billon farm parcels across these historic hillsides by hand, working sustainably to coax structure and perfume from vines rooted in some of the region's oldest soils. Côte Rozier is one of the appellation's celebrated lieux-dits, prized for the depth and aromatic lift it brings to Syrah.

A polished, structured red built for the cellar as much as the table, well suited to slow-cooked meats and richer fare.
