Domaine Hubert & Laurent Lignier Morey-Saint-Denis 'Trilogie' 2023

Domaine Hubert & Laurent Lignier Morey-Saint-Denis 'Trilogie' is a village red Burgundy blended from three distinct old-vine parcels within the appellation, produced by one of Morey-Saint-Denis's most respected family estates.

The domaine dates to 1885, when Jacques Lignier began replanting vineyards devastated by phylloxera in the Côte de Nuits. Hubert Lignier took charge in 1959 and pioneered estate-bottling in 1973, and his son Laurent joined in 2004, giving the estate its present name. The family has farmed without synthetic weedkillers or insecticides since the 1990s and been certified organic since 2019, working many vines planted as far back as 1936 and propagated by massal selection to preserve genetic diversity.

A pure, terroir-transparent village red, it is well suited to the everyday table as much as more considered Burgundian fare.
