Domaine Hubert Lignier Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru is a Grand Cru red Burgundy made entirely from Pinot Noir grown within the Gevrey-Chambertin commune.

Charmes-Chambertin is one of Gevrey-Chambertin's nine Grand Crus, lying on gently sloping ground immediately downhill from Chambertin itself; its slightly deeper, more alluvial soils are generally considered to give Pinot Noir with real finesse alongside genuine depth. Domaine Hubert Lignier is a family-run estate based in Morey-Saint-Denis, in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, farming parcels across several of Burgundy's most sought-after appellations. Now guided by the following generation of the Lignier family, the domaine continues a meticulous, hands-on approach in the vineyard and a gentle, traditional touch in the cellar, aiming to let the character of each individual site come through in the finished wine.

This is a polished, age-worthy red Burgundy, well suited to a special occasion or cellaring, and a natural match for roast game, duck or mature hard cheeses.
