Gevrey-Chambertin is the largest and among the most prestigious communes of the Côte de Nuits, home to nine Grand Crus; even at village level its limestone-rich soils typically give Pinot Noir with real structure and savoury depth. Domaine Hubert Lignier is a family-run estate based in Morey-Saint-Denis, in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, farming parcels across several of Burgundy's most sought-after appellations. Now guided by the following generation of the Lignier family, the domaine continues a meticulous, hands-on approach in the vineyard and a gentle, traditional touch in the cellar, aiming to let the character of each individual site come through in the finished wine.

Bottled in magnum, this is a supple yet structured red Burgundy, equally at home with roast poultry, mushroom dishes or a simple plate of charcuterie.
