Domaine Jamet Condrieu 'Vernillon' 2024

Domaine Jamet Condrieu 'Vernillon' is a rare, sought-after white from an estate best known for its Côte-Rôtie, made entirely from Viognier off a small parcel in the neighbouring Condrieu appellation.

Domaine Jamet is run by Jean-Paul and Corinne Jamet, with son Loïc now also involved, from their base in the Côte-Rôtie hills near Ampuis. Jean-Paul has farmed and vinified the family's steep, terraced vineyards for around four decades, working schist and granite soils on slopes known locally as 'chayets'. While the domaine is celebrated above all for its Côte-Rôtie reds, its small holding of Viognier in Condrieu is made with the same exacting, terroir-focused approach, and the wine is produced in tiny volumes each vintage.

A refined, textural white with real perfume and precision, it suits richer seafood, poultry and dishes built around cream or spice.
