Domaine Jamet Côte-Rôtie Côte Brune is a single-vineyard Syrah from the celebrated Côte Brune, the steep, iron-rich schist slopes that give the northern half of the Côte-Rôtie appellation its name and its reputation for power and structure.

Côte-Rôtie sits on the west bank of the Rhône in the northern Rhône Valley, its terraced vineyards among the steepest in France and planted almost exclusively to Syrah. Domaine Jamet is one of the appellation's benchmark family estates, farmed today by Jean-Paul Jamet together with his children, continuing a hands-on, low-intervention approach built up over three generations. The domaine's holdings on the dark schist soils of Côte Brune are prized for the depth, savoury complexity and ageing potential they bring to the wine.

This is a wine of real structure and precision, built for the cellar and well suited to slow-cooked meats and the kind of unhurried dinner that rewards a little patience.
