Domaine Jean-Louis Chave Selection Côtes-du-Rhône Rouge Mon Coeur is a southern Rhône red assembled by one of the northern Rhône's most respected families.

Côtes-du-Rhône is the broad regional appellation of the Rhône Valley, drawing mostly on the southern half of the valley where Grenache and Syrah lead the blend and the vineyards sit among garrigue, stony terraces and sandy clay around Orange, Vaison and the Gard. It is by a wide margin the largest appellation of the valley, and quality within it varies enormously, which makes the name of whoever assembled the blend the most useful thing on the label. Mon Coeur is put together by J.L. Chave Selection, the négociant house Jean-Louis Chave established alongside the family domaine at Mauves, working with growers in the south and raising the wine in the family cellars in the north. For many drinkers it has long been the first introduction to the Chave name.

It suits roast lamb, tomato-based pasta or a charcuterie board.
