Description

Domaine Louis-Claude Desvignes Morgon Saint-Vincent comes from a parcel named after the patron saint of winegrowers.

Morgon is one of the ten Beaujolais crus and the one whose wines age most convincingly, developing a cherry and kirsch character the French describe as morgonner. The Desvignes family has worked these slopes since 1712. Gamay is fermented whole-bunch in the Beaujolais manner and aged without new oak.

Serve slightly cool at 15 degrees with charcuterie, roast chicken or a cheese board. It develops over eight years.
