Description
Domaine Marc Sorrel Crozes-Hermitage Blanc is a refined white from the broad plain that surrounds the famous Hermitage hill in the Northern Rhône.
The Sorrel family has farmed vines in Hermitage since 1893, with plantings dating to the 1910s, and Marc Sorrel has run the small, family-run domaine since 1982, following his father Henri. Alongside their celebrated Hermitage holdings in sites such as Les Bessards, Les Greffieux and Les Rocoules, the family also farms parcels in the neighbouring Crozes-Hermitage appellation, where flatter, more alluvial terrain gives whites with a softer, more immediate style than their Hermitage counterparts.
This is a fresh, textural Rhône white, well suited to poultry, richer seafood and lighter creamy dishes.
