Domaine Raoul Gautherin & Fils Chablis Vieilles Vignes is a Chardonnay drawn from a selection of the estate's older vines within the village Chablis appellation.

Chablis wines are grown around the town of the same name in northern Burgundy, where a band of Kimmeridgian limestone rich in ancient marine fossils gives the region's Chardonnay its trademark chalky minerality; older vines, with their smaller, more concentrated yields, are prized for adding extra depth. Domaine Raoul Gautherin & Fils is a Gautherin family estate based in the village of Chablis with roots stretching back centuries, today run by Alain and Adrien Gautherin, who tend parcels spanning Petit Chablis through to grand cru with a rigorous, reasoned and sustainable approach.

A little more concentrated than the estate's entry-level Chablis, it is a versatile white Burgundy well suited to seafood and lighter poultry dishes.
