Description

Domaine Stéphane Magnien Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Les Faconnières here comes straight out of the family's cellar.

Poor, rocky ground on the eastern edge of the commune's grand cru band, old and younger plantings picked together, then twelve months in barrel with a fifth new casks and stainless steel before the bottle.

Riper and broader in build, dark cherry with a suggestion of sweet spice over firm but rounded tannins. Decant briefly, serve at 16-18°C, and set it against hard-roasted lamb or a good steak.
