Domaine Vincent Dancer Meursault Les Corbins 2020

This village Meursault comes from 0.45 hectares in the lieu-dit Les Corbins, planted in 1986 on rocky Bathonian limestone.

Les Corbins lies at the northern, Monthelie end of the commune, and the domaine's parcel of 0.45 hectares sits on rocky Bathonian limestone rather than the deeper clay found lower down, which keeps the wine tighter and more saline than Meursault's fuller reputation would suggest. Vincent Dancer, an engineer by training, took over family parcels in 1996 at twenty-two and built his cellar the year after; the domaine runs to around six hectares across Chassagne, Puligny, Meursault, Pommard and Beaune, and his son Théo now handles the day-to-day. In the cellar there is spontaneous fermentation with no additions, no bâtonnage, used barrels with little or no new wood, and bottling without fining or filtration.

Drinking well from two years and over the following six. Serve at 10-12°C with roast chicken, seared scallops or a creamy soft cheese.
