Description

Domaines Schlumberger Saering Riesling comes from a Grand Cru slope of sandstone and limestone at Guebwiller.

Saering faces south-east on a mix of sandstone, limestone and marl, and is generally the most approachable of the estate's Grands Crus, giving wines that show earlier than Kessler or Kitterlé. Schlumberger has farmed these terraces since 1810 and works biodynamically. The wine is dry.

Serve at 10 degrees with seafood, pork or a goat's cheese. It develops over eight years.
