Eric Bordelet Pomme Perlant 330ml NV

Eric Bordelet Pomme Perlant is an alcohol-free sparkling juice made from organically grown Normandy cider apples, in a small 330ml bottle.

Eric Bordelet left a career as a sommelier in Paris to take over the family orchards at Charchigné, on the border of Normandy and the Mayenne, where old apple and pear trees are farmed organically and by biodynamic principles on schist and granite soils. Alongside his ciders and perries he makes this alcohol-free sparkling apple juice from the same traditional cider apple varieties. The fruit is pressed and the juice is kept from fermenting, so it retains all of its natural sugar and contains no alcohol, and it is lightly sparkling, or perlant, in bottle. Using cider apples rather than dessert apples gives it more tannin, acidity and depth than an ordinary apple juice.

A grown-up alternative to wine or cider for the aperitif, with galettes, charcuterie or apple tart; serve well chilled.
