Giovanni Rosso Langhe Nebbiolo Ester Canale 2022

Giovanni Rosso Ester Canale is a Langhe Nebbiolo from old vines in the Vigna Rionda cru at Serralunga.

Vigna Rionda is among the most celebrated vineyards in all of Barolo, and the estate's parcel is planted to vines of considerable age. The wine carries the name of Ester Canale Rosso, the grandmother of current owner Davide Rosso, who held the land. Released as Langhe Nebbiolo rather than Barolo, it comes to the table years earlier than the appellation would allow. Fermentation is with native yeast, with ageing in large oak.

Decant and serve at 17 degrees with braised beef, veal or mushroom risotto. It develops over fifteen years.
