Description
Graci Etna Rosso is a Nerello Mascalese from the northern slope of Mount Etna in Sicily.
Etna's north face rises through terraced vineyards planted on black volcanic sand and lava flows of different ages, and the altitude keeps acidity high despite the Sicilian latitude. Nerello Mascalese gives a pale, high-acid, finely tannic wine often compared to Nebbiolo. Alberto Graci left banking in 2004 to take on his family's vineyards and works old bush vines, some ungrafted.
Serve at 16 degrees with roast pork, tuna or mushroom pasta. It develops over a decade.
