Guigal Côtes-du-Rhône Blanc 2024

Guigal Côtes-du-Rhône Blanc is a white blend drawn from across the Rhône Valley, built on Viognier and the region's other traditional white grapes.

The Côtes-du-Rhône appellation covers a vast sweep of vineyard on both banks of the river, from Vienne in the north to below Avignon, and white wine accounts for only a small fraction of what it produces. This blend brings together Viognier, Roussanne, Marsanne, Clairette, Bourboulenc and Grenache Blanc, the classic set of northern and southern Rhône whites, each contributing something different to weight, texture and freshness. Guigal has been assembling wines from growers throughout the valley since Étienne Guigal founded the house at Ampuis in 1946, and its scale allows selection from a very wide range of sites. Fermentation in stainless steel, without oak, keeps the wine direct and preserves the aromatic character Viognier brings to the blend.

Serve chilled at 8 to 10 degrees as an aperitif, or with grilled fish, summer salads and light poultry dishes.
