HEAD Wines HEAD Red Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

HEAD Red Cabernet Sauvignon is a Barossa Cabernet from a producer otherwise devoted to Rhône varieties.

Cabernet is a minor planting in the Barossa next to Shiraz and Grenache, but it ripens fully on the valley's warm floor and gives blackcurrant fruit with firmer tannin than the region's usual reds. The Head Red range is matured in older French oak and bottled for earlier drinking. Alex Head founded the label in 2006.

Serve at 17 degrees with roast lamb, beef or hard cheese. Drink over the next eight years.
