Heidi Schröck & Söhne 'Junge Löwen' Blaufränkisch/St. Laurent is a vibrant red blend from the historic wine town of Rust, on the shores of Lake Neusiedl in Austria's Burgenland.

Heidi Schröck, together with her sons, farms around 10 hectares in and around Rust, a medieval town where her family has made wine for generations. While best known internationally for reviving the once-endangered sweet Ruster Ausbruch style as leader of the Cercle Ruster Ausbruch, the estate also produces excellent dry wines, and 'Junge Löwen', meaning "Young Lions", reflects the family's next generation at work in the cellar. The blend of Blaufränkisch and St. Laurent draws on grapes well suited to the region's warm Pannonian days and cooling lake influence, varieties that together bring both structure and juicy approachability.

Fresh and food-friendly, this is a versatile red suited to roast meats, hard cheeses and hearty, slow-cooked dishes.
