Heirloom Vineyards Adelaide Hills Tempranillo is a bright, savoury cool-climate Tempranillo driven by fresh acidity.

Tempranillo, Spain's great red grape, has found a welcome home in parts of South Australia, and the cooler Adelaide Hills gives it a fresher, more aromatic profile than warmer regions do. Heirloom winemaker Elena Brooks keeps the oak understated so the red berries, violets, rosewater and herbs come through clearly. The palate is creamy-textured with dark berry fruit, and a linear line of acidity carries it through to a harmonious finish framed by soft, pillowy tannins.

Pour it with jamón, lamb and rosemary skewers or a smoky paella. Serve at around 16 degrees; it is ready to drink now.
