Henschke Keyneton Euphonium Shiraz Blend 375ml 2022

Henschke Keyneton Euphonium is a Shiraz-led blend with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc from the Barossa and Eden Valley.

Keyneton is the village where the family settled, and the euphonium refers to the brass band that Johann Christian Henschke's descendants played in, a Lutheran tradition brought from Silesia. Blending warm Barossa floor Shiraz with the firmer, higher-acid fruit of the Eden Valley ranges gives the wine both depth and line. Parcels are fermented separately and matured in French and American oak, a small part of it new, before the final blend is assembled.

Decant and serve at 17 degrees with roast beef, kangaroo or a mushroom ragù. It rewards a decade in the cellar.
