Description

I Feudi di Romans Pinot Nero DOC Friuli is a light red from the plains of the Isonzo river in Friuli, made from Pinot Nero.

The Lorenzon family farm their vineyards in the Isonzo area, in the far east of Friuli between the Collio hills and the Adriatic. The land here is flat and gravelly, laid down by the river, and it drains freely and warms quickly. Cool air from the Julian Alps and breezes from the sea keep the nights fresh, which suits early-ripening varieties such as Pinot Nero.

A lighter style of red that can be served lightly chilled, it suits charcuterie, roast chicken, mushroom dishes and tuna.
