Description

Kendall-Jackson Vintner's Reserve Chardonnay is the wine that made California Chardonnay a household style.

Jess Jackson founded the winery in 1982, and an accidental stuck fermentation in the first vintage left a touch of residual sugar in the wine; it sold in quantities no one expected and set the template for American Chardonnay for a generation. The fruit comes from cool coastal sites across California, where fog and ocean air slow ripening. The wine is barrel-fermented with lees stirring.

Serve at 12 degrees with roast chicken, seafood or a creamy pasta. Drink within four years.
