Kooyong Estate Pinot Noir 2025

Kooyong Estate Pinot Noir is a fine-grained, fruit-driven red from one of the Mornington Peninsula's leading Pinot specialists.

The estate vineyard lies at Tuerong, in the heart of the Peninsula, where vines planted from the mid-1990s grow on clay loam over old marine sediments and are cooled by breezes from the surrounding bays. Kooyong works only with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, bottling several single-block wines alongside this Estate blend, which draws on parcels across the property. Winemaking is gentle and hands-off, with oak kept in the background so the fruit and fine tannins lead. The winery shares its family ownership and winemaking team with Port Phillip Estate.

Try it at around 15 to 16 degrees with duck breast, seared tuna or a porcini and thyme pasta. It drinks well now and will keep developing over the next several years.
