Lark Hill Estate Chardonnay 2023

Lark Hill Estate Chardonnay comes from one of the highest vineyards in the Canberra District, at Bungendore.

The Lark Hill vineyard sits at 860 metres on the Lake George escarpment, high enough that frost and a short season are the real constraints, which gives Chardonnay sharp acidity and a tight frame. David and Sue Carpenter planted it in 1978 and the estate has been certified biodynamic since 2003, the first in the region. The wine is barrel-fermented with native yeast.

Serve at 12 degrees with fish, roast chicken or a soft cheese. It develops over eight years.
