Louis Roederer Collection 246 NV

Louis Roederer Collection 246 is the house's multi-vintage blend, built around the 2021 harvest with reserve wines held in perpetual solera.

Champagne's chalk soils and cool climate make blending across years a necessity rather than a choice, and Roederer's Collection series replaced the old Brut Premier in 2021 to make that blending explicit, each release numbered by its base harvest. The house was founded in Reims in 1776 and has been led by the Rouzaud family since 1833; it owns an unusually large share of the vineyards it uses, now farmed biodynamically. Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier are joined by reserve wines aged in oak foudres, with a portion from a perpetual reserve begun in 2012.

Serve at 9 degrees with shellfish, poultry or hard cheese. Drink over the next five years.
