Luciano Sandrone Barolo Le Vigne Sibi et Paucis is a cellar-aged re-release of the estate's multi-parcel Barolo.

Sibi et Paucis, roughly for the few and favoured, is the Sandrone family's museum programme. Each year 10 to 15 per cent of production of the Nebbiolo wines is held back in the winery's underground cellars and re-released closer to maturity: six years after the harvest for Valmaggiore, ten years for the Barolos. Each re-release carries a stamp on the label to distinguish it from the original bottling. Le Vigne is the counterpart to Aleste: where Aleste comes from a single vineyard, Le Vigne is assembled from parcels in several of the Barolo communes, each fermented and aged separately before blending. The result is the lifted, perfumed side of the Sandrone house style, against the darker and more mineral Aleste. Vinification is the same for both apart from a slightly shorter maceration here, with maturation in large Slavonian oak casks rather than barriques.

Ready to drink and still capable of further ageing; serve at 16–18°C, decanted, with braised meats, mushroom risotto or aged Parmigiano.
