Description
Cuvée Confidentielle is Camille Thiriet's négociant Bourgogne Blanc, named for the tiny quantity she made of it in her first vintage.
Thiriet began in 2016 working out of a garage in the Côte de Nuits, and this white has been in the range since the start. The source changes with what she can secure: an earlier release drew on contacts in Puligny-Montrachet and Mâcon-Villages, while the current wine comes from the rocky soils of Mâcon-Cruzille, one of the better villages of the northern Mâconnais and a cooler, later-ripening pocket than the south. The vines reach up to 100 years of age, which shows in the wine's depth of texture. Around 20% new oak is used, enough to build breadth without dominating, and the wine keeps the vibrant finish that marks the house style across both colours.
Drink now to five years. Serve at 10 to 12°C with roast chicken, grilled fish or a leek tart.
*Every effort is made to ensure the current vintage is accurate; however, variations can occur. If you are after a specific vintage, please contact us prior to ordering.
