Description

Mountadam Five-Fifty Shiraz comes from the estate's organic vineyards high above the Barossa Valley.

At 550 metres the Eden Valley ripens Shiraz slowly, giving pepper and savoury depth rather than the sweetness of the warmer floor below. The Five-Fifty range is made for drinking sooner than the estate's High Eden wines. Fermentation is in small open vessels, with maturation in seasoned French oak.

Serve at 17 degrees with barbecued meats, lamb or a rich stew. Drink over the next eight years.
