Description
Description
Murdoch Hill Cabernets is a Bordeaux-variety blend from the Adelaide Hills at Oakbank.
Cabernet in the Adelaide Hills is a cooler proposition than in the warmer South Australian regions, ripening late at 400 to 500 metres and giving a leafy, red-fruited wine with firm acidity. The Downer family has farmed at Oakbank since 1998, with Michael Downer making the wines since 2011. Fermentation is with native yeast and maturation in French oak.
Serve at 17 degrees with roast lamb, beef or a mushroom dish. Drink over the next ten years.
