Olivier Leflaive Meursault Narvaux 2022

Olivier Leflaive Meursault Narvaux is a single-vineyard village wine from one of the best known lieux-dits on the upper slope of Meursault.

Les Narvaux lies above the premier crus of Genevrières and Charmes, high on the hill where the soil is shallow and stony and the growing season runs a touch later. It is village land by classification, but Narvaux has a long-standing reputation among Meursault growers and is one of the handful of named sites regularly bottled on its own rather than blended away. Meursault has no grand cru whatsoever, which leaves its premier crus and its best lieux-dits to carry the commune's name. Olivier Leflaive set up his house in Puligny-Montrachet in 1984, drawing on his own vineyards and on fruit bought from growers across the Côte de Beaune.

Serve at around 11 to 12 degrees with grilled fish, roast chicken or a simple risotto; it will reward five years in the cellar.
