Description

Pio Cesare Il Nebbio is a young, fresh Nebbiolo made for drinking early rather than cellaring.

Nebbiolo is usually given years of ageing, so a version bottled young and handled to keep its perfume rather than build tannin is a deliberate change of pace. The fruit comes from the Langhe hills around Alba, where Pio Cesare has worked since 1881. Maceration is short and the wine sees little oak.

Serve slightly cool at 15 degrees with salumi, pasta or roast chicken. Drink within four years.
