Pol Roger Brut Réserve Non Vintage NV

Pol Roger Brut Réserve Non Vintage is the house champagne of an independent family firm in Épernay and one of the most consistent blends in the region.

Founded in 1849, Pol Roger remains owned and directed by descendants of its founder, a rarity in a region long dominated by large groups. Brut Réserve, known to many by its white foil, is blended in roughly equal parts from Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay drawn from around thirty villages, then given depth by reserve wines held back from earlier harvests. It is aged in the deep, cold cellars beneath Épernay for considerably longer than the fifteen months demanded of non vintage champagne, and each bottle is riddled by hand. Winston Churchill drank it for most of his life, and the house has been linked with his name ever since.

Serve at 8 to 10 degrees as an aperitif or with oysters, fried fish and light hors d'oeuvres.
