Pooley Wines Cooinda Vale Pinot Noir 375ml 2023

Pooley Wines Cooinda Vale Pinot Noir 375ml is a half bottle of the family's single-vineyard Coal River Valley Pinot Noir.

The Coal River Valley, north east of Hobart, is one of Tasmania's most important Pinot Noir districts, its low rainfall and cool maritime climate giving a long ripening season. Pooley Wines is a family estate founded by Denis and Margaret Pooley and now run by the third generation, with Anna Pooley making the wines. This Pinot Noir is drawn from the family's Cooinda Vale vineyard at Campania, a dry, sunny site where the grapes ripen slowly while retaining their natural acidity. The wine is matured in French oak and sealed under screwcap to preserve its freshness. The half-bottle format is ideal for a single dinner or for two to share.

Fine-boned and fresh, it suits duck, salmon and mushroom dishes; serve at around 15 to 16 degrees.
