Recaredo Corpinnat Terrers Brut Nature 2019 Disg. June 2023

Recaredo Corpinnat Terrers Brut Nature is the estate's multi-parcel biodynamic sparkling wine, drawn each year from as many as 65 small plots.

Corpinnat is the mark adopted by a group of Alt Penedès estates that left the Cava DO, binding themselves to estate-grown, hand-harvested, organically farmed fruit and long lees ageing. Recaredo farms biodynamically. Terrers is blended from 57 per cent Xarel·lo, 25 per cent Macabeu, 17 per cent Parellada and one per cent Monastrell, all from the estate's own vines rooted in the calcareous soils of the Alt Penedès. In any given year the blend can draw on up to 65 parcels across Serral del Roure, Serral del Vell, Pedra Blanca, Marçaneta and the high Montpedrós vineyard at 455 metres. The base wines are raised in tank rather than oak, which keeps the fruit bright and the texture fluid, and the wine is then aged 39 months on lees and disgorged without dosage.

Drinking well on release and worth holding a few years. Good with oysters, fried school prawns or a plate of Manchego, served at about 8°C.
