Recaredo Corpinnat Turó d'en Mota is a biodynamic single-vineyard sparkling wine from just under a hectare of Xarel·lo planted in 1940, aged 156 months on lees.

Corpinnat is the collective mark of a small group of Alt Penedès growers who left Cava to guarantee estate-grown, organically farmed fruit and very long lees ageing, and Recaredo is one of its founders. Turó d'en Mota is a distinct site within the Serral del Vell vineyard: goblet-trained Xarel·lo planted in 1940 at close to 300 metres on the north side of the hill that gives the wine its name. Yields are held to around 22 hl/ha. The base wine ferments in barrel and rests on its lees over winter with occasional stirring, then ages in bottle for at least twelve years before the first disgorgement, which is stated on every label; this release had 156 months. When the first vintage appeared, it was the region's first bottling of pure Xarel·lo. No dosage is added.

Ready to drink and capable of long further ageing. Treat it as you would a mature grower Champagne, with roast poultry, aged Comté or grilled langoustines, at 8 to 10°C.
