Robert Stein Harvest Gold 375ml 2023

Robert Stein Harvest Gold is a sweet Riesling made from late-picked fruit at Mudgee.

Leaving Riesling on the vine past normal harvest concentrates its sugar and acidity, which is what makes a dessert wine of this kind work: the sweetness is carried by the acid rather than sitting heavily. The Stein family has grown Riesling at Mudgee since 1976, with roots in Australian viticulture going back to 1838. The wine is fermented slowly and bottled in half bottles.

Serve cold at 8 degrees with fruit tart, crème brûlée or blue cheese. An opened bottle keeps for several days.
