Description

Robert Stein Premium Shiraz is a Mudgee red from the family's vineyards in inland New South Wales.

Mudgee's warm days and cold nights at 450 metres give Shiraz depth with a savoury, peppery edge rather than the sweetness of hotter inland regions. The Stein family planted here in 1976. The wine is fermented in open vessels and matured in French and American oak, with the Premium tier getting longer time in barrel than the Farm Series.

Serve at 17 degrees with roast beef, lamb or a rich stew. Drink over the next eight years.
