Description

Storm Bay Pinot Noir comes from the Coal River Valley in southern Tasmania.

The Coal River sits inland from Hobart in the island's dry east, sheltered from westerly weather, with cold nights and a long season that give Pinot Noir high natural acidity and fine tannin. Storm Bay itself lies at the mouth of the Derwent. Fermentation uses a portion of whole bunches, with French oak maturation.

Serve at 15 degrees with duck, salmon or mushroom dishes. Drink over the next seven years.
