Tar & Roses Lewis Riesling 2026

Tar & Roses Lewis Riesling is named for Don Lewis, who founded the winery after decades at Mitchelton.

Riesling in central Victoria keeps the lime and floral character the variety shows in cooler Australian regions, provided the fruit is picked early enough to hold acidity. Don Lewis died in 2017 and the wine carries his name. It is pressed gently, fermented cool in stainless steel and bottled dry without oak.

Serve at 8 degrees with seafood, salads or lightly spiced dishes. It will develop over eight years.
