Vietti Barbera d'Asti Trevie 2023

Vietti Barbera d'Asti Tre Vigne blends fruit from three vineyards across the Asti hills.

Asti, east of Alba, is the heartland of Barbera, where the variety covers more ground than anything else and gives a brighter, more immediate wine than the Alba side of Piedmont. Tre Vigne, meaning three vineyards, is Vietti's approach of blending sites rather than isolating one. The wine is fermented in stainless steel and matured in a mix of large casks and barriques, which softens the acidity without covering the fruit.

Serve at 16 degrees with pizza, salumi or tomato-based pasta. Drink over the next six years.
