Vietti Barolo 375ml 2021

Vietti Barolo is the estate's classic bottling, blended from Nebbiolo grown across several of the zone's communes.

Barolo covers eleven communes in the Langhe hills south of Alba, each with its own soils, and blending across them is the older tradition, predating the single-cru bottlings that Vietti itself helped establish in the 1960s. Nebbiolo ripens late, holds firm tannin and high acid, and needs long ageing. The estate ferments with native yeast in a mix of vessels and matures the wine in large Slavonian oak casks before bottling.

Decant an hour ahead and serve at 17 degrees with braised beef, risotto or aged cheese. It will develop over fifteen years.
