West Cape Howe Cape to Cape Chardonnay is a fresh, fruit-driven Chardonnay from the cool south of Western Australia.

Based at Mount Barker in the Great Southern, West Cape Howe has built its name on well-made, fairly priced wines under long-serving winemaker Gavin Berry. He describes the Cape to Cape range as the wines that established the winery's reputation for quality and consistency year in, year out, with clean, expressive fruit and strong value. The region's cool nights and long ripening season suit Chardonnay, helping it hold its natural acidity. This is an early-drinking style in which fruit is the focus and any oak plays a quiet supporting role.

Serve well chilled with barbecued prawns, fish and chips, chicken salad or creamy pasta. Sealed under screw cap, it is made to be enjoyed while young and fresh, ideally within two or three years.
