Whistler Double Back Grenache 2023

Whistler Double Back Grenache comes from the family's biodynamic vineyards in the Barossa Valley.

Barossa Grenache was planted for fortified wine and much of it was pulled out in the 1980s, so the old bush vines that remain are valuable; they give perfumed, medium-weight reds quite unlike the valley's Shiraz. Whistler farms organically and biodynamically, ferments with wild yeast and matures in seasoned oak so the fruit carries the wine.

Serve slightly cool at 16 degrees with roast pork, charcuterie or grilled vegetables. Drink within eight years.
