Wine & Soul Pintas Character Tinto 2021

Wine & Soul Pintas Character Tinto is a red field blend from the heart of Portugal's Douro Valley, offering a more approachable counterpart to the estate's celebrated Pintas.

Wine & Soul was founded in 2001 by husband-and-wife winemakers Sandra Tavares da Silva and Jorge Serôdio Borges, both of whom trained extensively in the Douro before setting out on their own. The couple built their reputation on old, co-planted vineyards where dozens of native varieties grow side by side, a traditional Douro practice historically reserved for Port that they champion instead for still, dry wines. Working parcels around the Pinhão Valley, they favour minimal intervention in the cellar, letting the complexity of these historic field blends speak for the region's terroir.

This is a supple, food-friendly red suited to everyday drinking, pairing well with grilled meats and rustic fare.
