Yangarra High Sands Grenache 2023

Yangarra High Sands Grenache is the estate's flagship, from bush vines planted in 1946 on the deepest sand at Blewitt Springs.

The High Sands block sits at the top of the property where the ancient dune sand runs metres deep, forcing roots down and yielding tiny crops from vines that have never been irrigated or grafted. It is widely held to be one of the great Grenache sites in Australia. The estate is certified biodynamic; the wine is fermented whole-bunch with native yeast and matured in old oak and ceramic eggs.

Decant and serve at 16 degrees with roast lamb, duck or truffle dishes. It rewards fifteen years or more.
